Research shows that personal computer users only use 20% of the functions of the computer 95% percent of the time. Almost all of the models can be upgraded to a max of 2 GB RAM. 2 GB is more than enough for the Windows XP operating system.

Unless you are an avid gamer or use your computer for work requiring ample computing power (such as video editing or graphics design), there is really very little reason for you to not get a netbook if you are planning to buy a new computer. The Asus Eee, Acer Aspire One, Samsung NC10 and the MSI Wind are some of the more popular netbook models available in the market today.
